Silicon Drinkabout is a weekly meet-up for startups and techies to meet like-minded people, have some fun and relax at the end of the working week. The event was born in London in 2011 when Michael Acton Smith gathered a small group of tech friends in a local pub. 3beards founders Ben, Bryce, Mike & Joe took over to make Silicon Drinkabout what it is today.

Kevin Plattret

Head of Technology, 3beards

Kevin is a Developer and is in charge of anything technical at 3beards. After studying Digital Media at the University of Burgundy he worked in a Soho based web agency and then joined the other beards in June 2013 as employee number one. He likes beautiful code, learning new things, the occasional bit of design and good banter – generally over Gin and tonic.

Vicky Hunter

Head of Operations and Community, 3beards

Having discovered the start-up scene whilst studying for a Masters in Events Management in Newcastle, Vicky moved to London and became a familiar face at Campus London and 3beards’ events. Relieved that facial hair wasn’t a necessity, Vicky joined the team on Valentines day 2014 as the first female Beard and hasn’t looked back.

Bruno Vaz Moço

Digital Marketeer, 3beards

Bruno studied business administration between Lisbon, Bergen and Paris with a major in Strategy. In 2014 he attempted a north/south crossing of Iceland by foot, alone and unassisted which proved to be one of his most challenging adventures. He is currently looking over the marketing activities at 3beards.

Event Organiser, Entrepreneur and Connector in the Tech Scene. Having a background in Events and Catering I began my business journey being a Foodie Startup. I then started organising Tech City Tours, creating events and tours that connect people to London’s Startup Ecosystem.
