Launching A Food Business

The recent explosion in food vans, dining clubs and pop-up restaurants shows the culinary business is now accessible to anyone. If you’ve got an idea for a foodie startup, this talk will improve your knowledge on how to make it a success.

 

This event is part of the Start & Evolve series of enterprise events at London South Bank University.

Refreshments are provided and there will be an opportunity to network. This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Successful entrepreneurs from across the UK share their experiences and top tips for success in our Start & Evolve talks, inspiring you to take the next step in your business journey.

Start & Evolve events are free to attend, with refreshments and networking at each session.

 

*What is the Certificate in Enterprise?

LSBU students and alumni can obtain a certificate in enterprise by attending a minimum of 6 Start & Evolve events throughout the academic year. Please ensure you get a stamp for each event attend, and that you sign in on the event sheet when you arrive. For further information, please email studententerprise@lsbu.ac.uk

 

What support is available to students who wish to start a business at LSBU?

There is a package of support available to help you start your entrepreneurial journey at LSBU. Through events, workshops and start-up schemes, you will be supported to develop your entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.

I am not a Student or Alumni member of LSBU. Can I still attend the event?

Yes, our events are open to all members of the public, as well as our students, staff and alumni. All we ask is that you come with the willingness to learn something new and an entrepreneurial mind-set.

 

What are my transport options getting to the event?

By train and tube – Southwark and Elephant & Castle stations are a 5 minute walk from LSBU’s campus. Lambeth North, Waterloo and London Bridge are a 15minute walk or a short bus-ride.

We do not offer parking. See a map of LSBU’s campus.

 

Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?

No – please turn up at the address specified on the events page and bring or show your confirmation email
