You do not need to have a business to have intellectual property (IP), IP. refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
Many don’t recognise the value of identifying and protecting their intangible assets. Patents Attornery Mark Millhench will explain how to identify your IP and – more importantly – how you can exploit your IP and turn it into money.

*What is the Certificate in Enterprise?
LSBU students and alumni can obtain a certificate in enterprise by attending a minimum of 6 Start & Evolve events throughout the academic year. What support is available to students who wish to start a business at LSBU?
There is a package of support available to help you start your entrepreneurial journey at LSBU. Through events, workshops and start-up schemes, you will be supported to develop your entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.

I am not a Student or Alumni member of LSBU. Can I still attend the event?
Yes, our events are open to all members of the public, as well as our students, staff and alumni. All we ask is that you come with the willingness to learn something new and an entrepreneurial mind-set.
What are my transport options getting to the event?
By train and tube – Southwark and Elephant & Castle stations are a 5 minute walk from LSBU’s campus. Lambeth North, Waterloo and London Bridge are a 15minute walk or a short bus-ride.
We do not offer parking. See a map of LSBU’s campus.
Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?
No – please turn up at the address specified on the events page and bring or show your confirmation email
