HAVE A BUSINESS IDEA AND NEED HELP GETTING FUNDING?
This full day workshop is for people looking to start a business and provides help developing your idea and understanding the Government Startup Loan scheme.
It is a great opportunity to verify your idea by helping you develop your business plan & cash flow and, it will improve your chance of success with your Startup Loan application.
Eligibility to the scheme is for anybody over 18years of age living in the UK and who has the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of the loan term and the right to be self-employed.
You may have already started your business, but must not have been trading for longer than 24 months.
WORKSHOP CONTENT
Session 1 – Startup Loan Scheme
Understanding how the Startup Loan scheme works, how your request for funding is assessed and what is required for a successful application.
Session 2 – Business Plan Part 1
The Idea: Your offering, customers and competition.
Session 3 – Business Plan Part 2
Operational Plan: Turning your idea into a business
Session 4 – Financials
Cashflow: Identifying startup costs, developing sales forecast and the cash flow.
Session 5 – Next Steps
Assistance with other documents required for your Startup Loan application

Attendees will benefit by getting help develop their business plan and cash flows which is essential to starting your business especially if funding is required. It will also help develop and verify the viability of the business idea and importantly, will provide understanding of and access to, funding from the government’s Startup Loan scheme

Cost: £10 Refunded on attendance (see Eligibility below)
Eligibility: The course is FREE for all registered applicants of Startup Direct. As a Startup Direct applicant you will be required to pay a £10 deposit for your ticket, however this will be refunded once you have attended the event. If you do not show up to the event you will not be refunded the £10. Non Startup Direct applicants will be required to fill out a Startup Direct application form at the event in order to obtain the refund.
If you are not a registered applicant and wish to do so before the event, you must return a completed application form & be registered as a Startup Direct applicant 48hrs before the start date. To obtain the form & register, email apply@startupdirect.organd state that you would like to register for the workshop.
Spaces & Cancellation policy: Since this is an interactive workshop spaces are limited to 30 places. If you are for any reason unable to attend you must provide 24hr notice to apply@startupdirect.org .If you are registered to attend please ensure you turn up, as there will be no refunds for anyone that does not give 24 hours notice and does not attend.
