BACKGROUND
Hello I’m Barry Shrier, an experienced entrepreneur with successful exits in telecoms and clean-Tech.
Why are we passionate about health-tech innovation?
We are inspired by the 1,000’s of great Health-Tech innovators in history, for example:
• Edward Jenner – Smallpox vaccine –”saved more lives than were lost in all the wars of mankind since the beginning of recorded history.”
• Joseph Lister – antiseptic surgery –deaths from infection decrease from 60% to 4%
Health-Tech innovators save millions of lives, they reduce suffering across the globe; they powerfully make the world a better place.
Who are we? THE HEALTH-TECH INNOVATION GROUP
VISION – To make a significant global impact on the well-being of humanity – by boosting healthcare innovation
MISSION
• TO DISCOVER: to collect healthcare innovators world-wide
• TO DEVELOP: to support these innovators with the tools, services, and finance needed to maximize likelihood of global commercial success
We’re meeting at the Xi Bar, on the first floor of the Tower Hotel. The nearest tube station is Tower Hill, and the hotel is literally next to Tower Bridge. It’s a beautiful setting and nice ambience for meeting, good discussion, and networking. Usually not too crowded and not too loud.
