What this course covers

Discover how to develop a sales strategy,  and develop the confidence to sell your products.

Designers enjoy the creative process but are often unsure on how to approach buyers.

Is this for me?

This is suitable for designers/entrepreneurs that struggle with the sales side of their business. Selling your own designs can be daunting and involves choosing the right target customer, understanding the best way to approach them, preparing a pitch and presenting it to the buyer.

This practical workshop, delivered by Alison Lewy, will focus on preparing for this process to increase your sales. This interactive session will cover:

  • Defining your unique selling point (USP)
  • Competitive shopping & research
  • Getting sales appointments
  • Develop a sales pitch framework.
  • Anticipating and planning a buyer’s requirements.
  • Preparing for a sales appointment
  • Handling negotiation

By the end of the session you will have developed your own personal pitch framework to take away and use, giving you the confidence to sell your products.

Alison Lewy is a social entrepreneur and founder of Fashion Angel CIC. Alison ran her own design and manufacturing business for 15 years producing under her own label as well as consulting on sourcing and production for designers including Matthew Williamson and Preen.

Seeing the constant demand from fashion designers in need of sector specific support, prompted her to set up Fashion Angel in 2011, to help challenge the high failure rate of fashion businesses.
Alison was recently selected as one of The Maserati 100 – a definitive list celebrating Britain’s most successful business leaders actively supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs – in recognition of the continuing support she gives to 100’s of fashion start-ups .

She is one of Fashion Angel’s lead mentors, hosts popular workshops , and speaks regularly at business events and regularly appears in the media commenting on fashion industry issues.
